SMALL Wheel Tubs – Dimple Died & Bead Rolled Side Panels (Pair)

Premium 18-Gauge Steel | High-Strength, Fabrication-Ready Mini-Tubs for Custom Builds**

If your custom vehicle needs clean, professional, high-strength wheel tubs that elevate both performance and appearance, these SMALL Wheel Tubs with Dimple Died and Bead Rolled Side Panels are the perfect upgrade. Designed for serious builders, fabricators, and enthusiasts, these tubs offer the durability, clearance, and premium craftsmanship demanded by modern custom builds—whether you’re working on a mini-tub conversion, a bagged truck, a pro-touring muscle car, or a custom street/strip setup.

Manufactured using heavy-duty 18-gauge steel, these small wheel tubs are engineered to withstand real-world stress, intense suspension travel, drag-level forces, and air-ride compression without distortion. The precision-cut dimple died side panels and added bead rolling introduce an even greater level of rigidity, structure, and visual appeal, giving your build the high-end fabricated appearance that stands out in show bays, competition events, and under strict judging criteria.

Whether your goal is to fit wider wheels, increase suspension articulation, prepare your vehicle for air bags, or refresh old, rusted, or damaged tubs, this pair of small wheel tubs provides an ideal foundation for your project.

Features & Technical Specifications

• Heavy-Duty 18-Gauge Steel Construction

These tubs are far from flimsy aftermarket alternatives. Built from strong 18-gauge steel, they provide:

  • Superior weldability

  • Exceptional resistance to warping

  • High structural rigidity for wide wheel setups

  • Long-term durability under daily or performance driving

This material thickness ensures the tubs maintain shape during cutting, welding, and finishing—critical for builders who want clean, professional, long-lasting results.

• Dimple Died Side Panels

The side panels feature dimple died holes, which provide advantages beyond aesthetics:

  • Increased rigidity without additional weight

  • Better airflow and cooling characteristics behind the tub

  • A professional fabricated look ideal for show builds

  • Reduced vibration and flex compared to flat sheet metal

Dimple dies are widely used in motorsports and custom fabrication for these exact reasons.

• Bead Rolled Side Reinforcement

Beyond the dimple die pattern, the side panels are also bead rolled, adding:

  • Extra structural strength

  • Cleaner visual definition

  • A professional, high-end fabrication appearance

  • Reduced panel flex under load

Bead rolling is a hallmark of quality sheet metal craftsmanship, making these tubs visually and structurally superior to generic stamped alternatives.

Measurements & Fitment Dimensions

Approximate Dimensions:

  • 32" Long

  • 15" Tall

  • 9.25" Deep

These dimensions make the Small Wheel Tubs perfect for:

  • Moderate-size wheel/tire upgrades

  • Mild to moderate mini-tubbing

  • Classic car restorations

  • Compact or midsize truck builds

  • Performance street and strip setups

  • Air-ride vehicles needing extra inner clearance

Although smaller than large or X-large tubs, this size provides an ideal balance of clearance and workable installation space.

• TIG-Tacked Side Panels

The dimple died and bead rolled panels come TIG welded into place BUT only tacked, giving you:

  • Freedom to adjust and final-weld to your needs

  • Better control during fitment

  • Cleaner weld seams for show-quality finishing

  • Flexibility for trimming and shaping

Professional builders prefer TIG tacked assemblies because it allows the perfect fit for each unique build.

Why Choose Small Wheel Tubs for Your Build?

Small wheel tubs serve a huge variety of custom applications. Builders choose them when they need improved clearance or structural integrity without dramatically altering the factory sheet metal structure. They’re especially ideal for:

  • Mild mini-tub conversions

  • Air suspension systems

  • Slightly wider tire setups

  • Subtle performance enhancements

  • Restorations needing clean, modern foundation panels

Below are key advantages that make these tubs exceptional.

1. Perfect for Mini-Tub Builds Requiring a Clean, Subtle Fit

Not every build requires giant wheel tubs. Some vehicles benefit from more modest modifications that keep interior cargo or trunk space intact. These tubs provide enough room for:

  • Larger than stock tires

  • Wider wheels with deeper lips or lower offsets

  • Slight suspension travel increases

  • Mild stance improvements

  • Slight air-ride compression clearance

If you’re upgrading your vehicle’s performance and stance without going full race-spec, these are perfect.

2. Ideal for Classic Muscle Cars Looking for Modern Performance

Small tubs are frequently used in:

  • Chevrolet Nova, Camaro, Chevelle

  • Ford Mustang, Fairlane, Falcon

  • Mopar A/B-body classics

  • Oldsmobile, Buick, and Pontiac restorations

These vehicles often require a moderate increase in wheelhouse clearance to run:

  • 275–315 rear tires

  • Wider slicks

  • Modern performance wheels

  • Upgraded suspension components

These tubs give you the width and strength needed for the increased performance capabilities of modern tires and suspension tech.

3. Excellent for Trucks and SUVs Needing Added Clearance

Even small changes in wheelhouse design can make a big difference on:

  • S10 / Sonoma

  • Ranger

  • Tacoma

  • Silverado/Sierra (mild mods)

  • C10/C1500 requiring moderate inner clearance

  • SUVs with bagging or mild drop setups

If your truck needs a bit of extra clearance for suspension travel or wheel movement, these tubs are a perfect fit.

4. Structural Integrity That Outperforms OEM Wheelhouses

OEM tubs are often:

  • Thin

  • Rusted

  • Twisted

  • Not designed for custom suspension

  • Too small for upgraded wheels

These tubs solve that by offering:

  • Thick 18-gauge steel

  • High rigidity

  • Custom fabrication strength

  • TIG-tacked side panels

  • Dimple died and bead rolled reinforcement

This combination not only looks better but performs dramatically better under stress.

5. Premium Fabrication Aesthetics for Show Builds

If your vehicle is:

  • Judged

  • Displayed

  • Photographed

  • Sponsored

  • Featured in magazines

  • Built to a professional level

…these tubs immediately elevate the visual presence of your interior wheel housings.

Builders love the:

  • Clean curves

  • Symmetrical dimple dies

  • Bead rolled reinforcement lines

  • High-end metalwork appearance

These tubs LOOK like they belong in a championship-level build.

Installation Notes & Professional Recommendations

These wheel tubs are not bolt-in parts. They require professional or experienced DIY installation, including:

  • Cutting

  • Trimming

  • Welding (TIG or MIG)

  • Fitment test cycles

  • Seam shaping

  • Grinding & finishing

  • Bodywork

  • Sealing or undercoating

Since every vehicle’s geometry is different, you MUST measure your setup at ride height with your wheels and tires installed before final welding.

Variables affecting fit:

  • Tire width & height

  • Wheel offset & backspacing

  • Axle width (stock, narrowed, or widened)

  • Bagged vs. static suspension

  • Frame notch design

  • Shock travel

  • Chassis modifications

Because of this, we cannot—and no reputable fabricator can—guarantee fitment for any specific vehicle.

Fitment Disclaimer

As stated, there are too many variables to predict exact fitment. Measure carefully and mock-up thoroughly before cutting.

WARNING

All sheet metal components are foundational parts. They may require:

  • Cutting

  • Trimming

  • Welding

  • Hammer/dolly work

  • Fabrication flexibility

These parts arrive unfinished and ready for customization.
